That big, beautiful screen on your desk is a window to your games, movies, and work. But is it showing you its best picture? You might be missing out on a clearer, smoother, and more comfortable view.
A few simple changes can make a huge difference. Here, we will share tips that will make your display look amazing.
Find your preset modes:
Most gigabyte monitor displays come with preset picture modes. These are like shortcuts for different tasks. Look for a setting called ‘Game Mode’ for faster response in action titles. Try ‘Movie’ or ‘Cinema’ for richer colors in films. The ‘sRGB’ mode is great for everyday browsing because it shows colors as most websites intend. Switch between them to see which one you like for each activity.
Adjust the brightness and contrast:
Staring at a screen that is too bright can strain your eyes. A screen that is too dark hides details. Find the brightness and contrast controls. Adjust the brightness so it feels comfortable to read text on a white background. Then, set the contrast to ensure you can see the difference between very dark and very light areas. The goal is a picture that is easy on your eyes.
Get the color temperature right:
Does your screen look a little too blue, giving it a cold feel? Or does it look too yellow? This is the color temperature. A very blue light can make it harder to sleep. Many displays have a ‘Low Blue Light’ mode you can turn on for evening use. You can also manually adjust the color settings toward the ‘warm’ side for a more comfortable, gentle light.
Turn on motion clarity features:
In fast-paced games or sports, moving objects can look blurry. To fix this, look for a feature in your display’s menu called ‘Overdrive’ or ‘Response Time.’ Setting this to a medium level can make motion much sharper. Be careful, though. Setting it too high can cause a different issue where you see strange trails behind objects. A medium setting is usually the best spot.
Set a higher refresh rate:
This tip is a great option for smoothness. Many displays can refresh their image more times per second than the standard. A higher refresh rate makes your mouse cursor move more smoothly and makes games feel incredibly fluid. Check your computer’s display settings to see if you can select a higher number, like 120Hz or 144Hz. If you see the option, select it for a much smoother experience.
