*********************************

Dear goldsmithworks,

The watch was serviced one week previous to the listing. The servicing
proceedure these watches receive does not include the removal of corrosion
from any visable parts in less the corrosion is more then cosmetically
damaging in nature. The pushers on these watches can, and do stick
occasionall regadless of servicing, as these are not replaced.
The sort of
service level you are referring to in which all parts are sanded and
buffed, all pushers and crowns, stems would be replaced
, would cost me (or
anyone) $175.00 or more. This would make it impossible to offer you a nice
looking, good running, vintage watch at $100.00,
I am sure you can see. In
conclusion, if you are an "unhappy camper" please feel free to return the
watch for a full refund.
Regards,

[NOTE: THAT IS THE LEVEL WE WORK AT. THAT IS THE REASON FOR PRICING WE CHARGE. BUT EVEN ON THE 100.00 WATCH, WE SERVICE IT THE CORRECT WAY. AND IF A PIECE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED WE FIND IT! THERE IS ONL:Y ONE WAY TO SERVICE A WATCH, THE DISSASEMBLY, INSPECTION, CLEANING AND REPLACING OF WORN PARTS IS THE END RESULT OF SERVICING!]

Dear[edited]

I am so pissed off here... we just checked the pushers, one is bent and has
no seal!

Dear goldsmithworks,

Rock,
Again, the pushers are not replaced. They are straighten, to as best
that can be done.
The seals on the pushers are usually not replaced. Why?
Because these watches are far beyond their usefulness as a water proof
watch,
as any collector of vintage watches will tell you. Also, new seals
will almost always make the pushers stick with certainty.
This is due to
the "untrue" nature of the pusher shafts, as well as the wear and corrosion
that may exist in the pusher tube themself. Again, return the watch for a
refund. It is clearly not what you were looking for.
Thanks,

[Note: HE CALLS THAT STRAIGHT? WHAT ABOUT THE SPRING? HE OR SOMEONE HE USES SERVICED THE WATCH AND DID NOT PUT A SPRING IN? YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE RING WHICH RELEASES THE PUSHERS. LOOK AT YOUR PICS, THE TOP PUSHER IS INSIDE THE CASE!. AS TO WATER PROOFING , IT WAS NEVER DISCUSSED, WE WERE THINKING EXCELLENT CONDITION AND DUST PREVENTION! AND, STEM TUBE VACUM HIGH VACUUM PRESSURE SILCONE 7 AND SILICONE STEM SEALER in STEM TUBES WILL KEEP THEM FROM STICKING.]

Dear[edited]

whoa... slow down. i apologize for getting so upset, but I took what you
wrote as what it was..
I am a watch maker. i have a watch shop and
jewelry shop, over 400 vintage watches. your information was that the watch
was SERVICED LAST WEEK, that everything worked...now, the watch comes in ..
i take a look. i did not open it cause i believed you. it went into a case,
my apprentice comes in with a friend, his friend likes the watch and i say
" it is awesome..." i show it to him, he clicks the top pusher, it starts
the seconds.. then he pushes again and it gets stuck. i gently pull the
pusher.. it comes back but not the swing arm..i open the watch and the rest
you have heard... i warranty every watch i sell when i say serviced that is
what i mean.. I have 39 seikos..all have new seals.. here you are running
the same sting on me by offering me information that is false. i just want
a refund in full. here i now have to ship back to you, takes my peoples
TIME, and my $.

Dear goldsmithworks,

Rock,
You are an interesting charachter. You start by apologizing for
getting so upset, then you finish off by insulting me. Now, I demand an
explination, please explain what "sting" I am running on you, and which
part of the information I gave you is false? If you read my feedback, you
will see that I do not make a habit of running stings, or giving false
information. Please do explain.
Thanks,

Dear[edited]

you say that to service a watch is not to replace damaged parts. that
vintage seikos cannot be sealed. that you tried to "straighten" the pushers
, that cosmetics have nothing to do with servicing... read your PAGE. what
you said was that the watch was A+.. it is not ... so what level do yo want
to take this to?? I simply want a full refund.. simple as that.

-goldsmithworks

**************************************8

Dear goldsmithworks,

I never use the term "A+", that is something that is in your head. I simply
stated the watch was serviced in the last week, which it was. Corrosion on
a rotor does not constitute a damaged part. Any one that knows these
watches, knows that the crystal gaskets are no longer available, so to say
that they can be water proofed,
is to rely on a 30 or 40 year old piece of
rubber. I graded the appearence items of the watch very accurately
. I
stated that the watch was running smoothly and accurately, which it was.
Whatever you read between the lines, I can't help you with. Please make
sure the watch is returned as it left here, including all parts and the
movement included. If there has been a switch, I will know as I mark the
movements of these watches. Provided I get back what I shipped, you will
get your full refund. That is the "level" I wish to take this to.

[edited]

[NOTE: WE NEVER SAID WATERPROOF, WE SAID SEALED. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SWIMMING WITH THIS WATCH. BUT ALL CRYSTALS CAN BE SEALED AGAINST DUST AND AIRBORN PARTICLE. THERE IS NO PRESSURE. STEM TUBES AND CROWNS SHOULD HAVE SEALS. AND, AT THE VERY LEAST, HIGH VACUUM PRESSURE SILCONE 7 AND SILICONE STEM SEALER SHOULD HAVE BEEN PLACED IN THE TUBES. HE SAYS THAT HE GRADED THE WATCH BY ITS APPEARANCE? AND ACCURATELY? HE ALSO SAID THE WATCH WAS SERVICED. CORROSION IS EFFECTING MORE THAN THE ROTOR.

)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Dear goldsmithworks,

Rock,
Look, we are not going to agree on this, it is clear. While you have
a jewelry store, and sell these Seiko occasionaly for $500.00 or $600.00,
these Seikos are ALL I sell. 150-200 per week, all over the globe. So, you
think I am full of crap, and I think the same of you.
Just send the watch
back as it was received, and we will be done.
Thanks

[edited]

[WE SELL SEIKOS FOR 80.00 TO 1000.00. BUT, UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED, ALL, EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM HAVE HAD SERVICING. COMPLETE DISSASEMBLY AND CLEAN, AND PARTS REPLACED. ESPECIALLY THE MAIN SPRINGS, WOULD NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH A WATCH TWICE. AND THEN THEY ARE SEALED. WE CHECK THE CRYSTAL WHILE CLEANING CASE FOR SEAL AGAINST AIR. WE USE NEW CASE BACK SEAL, CROWN SEAL AND PUSHER SEALS. IF THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE, OR WE HGAVE A PROBLEM, WE COVER OUR SELVES WITH THE UTILIZATION OF HIGH VACUUM PRESSURE SILCONE 7 AND SILICONE STEM SEALER AVAILABALE AT YOUR  WATCH SUPPLY HOUSE]

*****************************

Dear goldsmithworks,

You couldn't just send the stupid watch back, and let me issue a refund?
You had to file a Payapl dispute? You have a very hard head, my friend.

[edited]

[NOTE: THE FACT IS, HERE WE WERE ARGUING ABOUT WHAT HE DID, NOT WE. TRYING TO SAY IT WAS OUR FAULT FOR NOT KNOWING THAT ALL VINTAGE WATCH COLLECTORS WOULD AGREE WITH HIM. THATS SERVICING WAS NOT WHAT IT IS. THEN, TO GET EVEN WITH US TELLING HIM THE FACTS, ACCUSED US OF SWITCHING THE MOVEMENT! ]

********************************

Dear[edited]

who ever you think I am I am not. we could have done some good biz. what
happened happened. all you had to say was hey, send it back, but no. you
have to write a bunch of bs about how it was our fault, then send a message
that the movement better be the one that was in the watch, as if we had
changed it? I was promoting YOUR GOODS to a a friend of a friend, when
this happened you

that is why the watch came out and the pusher
clicked it was not and is NOT the pushers that are sticking. if I could
have fixed easy I would have done so. not bothered you. we loved the watch
and the price was great. gave you 5 stars It was embarrassing. imagine if i
sold it to someone? we both know what servicing REALLY means. and the
pushers and seals are available. even if it is not waterproof, they should
be IN THE WATCH. I do more than sell watches ..a lot more.. but that is not
of our concern,. I will ship the watch in same condition as received.
